Im going through the main quest and i'm trying to get the zainab tribe to accept me as nerevarine, iv got as far as finding his "telvanni bride" and buying the clothes and stuff, but when i try to open the cage, she just starts running on the stop and the door doesnt open. I'm guessing its a bit of faulty collision, any ideas on how to fix it?

If you are on pc you can open the console, enter TCL and she will walk through the bars. Ensure you enter TCL again to add the collision back.

Yeah, it is a known problem, you can also try standing as far back from the bars as possible to allow it to open - sometimes works.

Console was my first idea too (wouldnt have remembered the commands however) but i cant seem to get it to open. The button should be the one on the top left if i remember correctly but nothing comes up?

oh well ill try the standing further away, perhaps even a little telekenisis for good measure

Edit: Tried standing 50ft away and the same thing happened, any idea why the console wont come up?

You need to press the button "?" just under the "Esc" button to open the console.

However i still cant get the console to come up when i press the key (its "?" on my keyboard by the way) , i used to play morrowind years ago and had no problem with it then, is there any way to check which key is allocated to the console?

You might also have an international keyboard, and then Morrowind might not recognize any button as they console button. (default is the tilde key ~ )

The easiest thing for you to do, is use http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1117223-morrowind-graphics-extender-mge/ for its Macro feature. That way you can make any button you want act as the console button.
(Note that you don't have to use any other features of MGE if you don't want to. You can just use the Macro feature and ignore everything else if you don't want to change your game in any way.)
