I never tried anything byut Hlaalu, but i don't like any Great House, if they are all just a little like Hlaalu.

i really joined hlaalu for my thief char. afterwards played only mages or at least magic using chars, so i stick with telvanni.

it now took a serious minute in which i decided to play a dunmer... yeah... some kind of white knight and join redoran. i want to try it out. will not touch any magic or alchemy and not steal anything. this will be hard for me (as player) but interesting to play for sure.

but the telvannis will always be my faves. i even changed some dialogues so i don't have to kill gothren and i really ALWAYS fall in love with baladas demnevanni.

I like all of the three joinable houses on Vvardenfell, and though I sometimes rack down on them even House Redoran has its moments.

I usually alternate between Redoran and Telvanni. Usually I roleplay an Imperial loyalist who tries to 'Imperialize' the House he joins.

Out of my personal set of ideals, though, I side with Redoran more often than Telvanni. But Telvanni have the best stronghold.

Telvanni are the coolest and most interesting by far. I do not think that theres a need for an explenation... But for several reasons, Hlaalu gets my vote. Things like the Telvanni slave use is not too inviting, and I think I'd have a better life if I stayed away from some of them, and Redoran is not my cup of tea. The characters I play rarely fit with the strict warrior honor code, nor do I find it inviting enough. Hlaalu are more open minded (being more accepting of Imperial rule for instance) and they acquire wealth through trade (even though a dagger or two may be involved). Of course, they have negative aspects too, like the Camonna Tong for instance. And the constant backstabbing when you stand in the way of profit.

Telvanni.

Because everything about them is awesome... their architecture, ....

You're insane.
Their architecture is awful to navigate. And I've lost many hours worth of playtime reloading last save because I got stuck in their damn walls.

I'd like Telvanni if they made their halls... rounder.

So my hats off to Hlaalu.

I've always preferred Hlaalu. One of the main reasons for this is that, no matter what I do, I am always an outlander. And Hlaalu is the most tolerant of outlanders. It always seemed to me to be the logical choice for someone like me who is annoyed by the constant reminders that I'm not one of you, and I never will be. At this, House Redoran is the worst. Telvanni's not to great, either, and they have those annoying mushrooms. I may be an outlander, but I'm no Smurf.

Hlaalu
it was the first great house i joined and i think it is the best
1.) their house that they build you is right outside Balmora
2.) i like their armor the best but Redoran Pauldrons look cool
3.) i like their architecture
4.) Balmora has the thieves guild, a temple, mage's and fighter'sguild and the sword of white woe

but if i would at least like to play house Indoril because they are the strongest guard in Morrowind

I always like the Redoran House best. It has a cowboy western or Australian bush feel to me. I stayed at Gildan's house in Ald Ruhn throughout the quests....a perfect room mate.....you will never hear her utter a single word.

Telvanni House is good for a Mage character....which I rarely play.

Hlallu is OK, but I'm uncomfortable with the...er....embarrassing parts.

It depends on character, but Hlaalu I think come across as central to all aspects of the game.
So yes Hlaalu.

Greatly depends on what type of character I'm playing. As a Warrior type class, Redoran. As a Mage, Telvanni. As a theif, Hlaalu. Generic, maybe, but it seems to fit my playstyle.
