Search all scripts

It seems its a problem with supreme magicka, somewhere somehow. It references a game setting and a global for soul values, though .ini changes only appear to change the game setting. Some scripts set the game setting back to the default value found in the global, unintentionally. Changing the global in the console made things happy, for now.

-----------------
Is there a way to search every script(at once) for a specific string? I have a mod somewhere somewhy setting the value of grand soulgems to 2000 every few seconds. Dunno why, dunno where, and I dont really look forward to the whole "enable one mod at a time" game to find it, because it'd take ages an decades. The only mod directly changing the value is OOO and Supreme Magicka. Both set it to 2800. I can also set it in game, and it changes to 2800, then gets changed back to 2000. I dont have any mods that SHOULD be touching soulgems at all so I dont have specific mods I could look at first so I'm hoping for some help.

You don't have to deactivate your mods one at a time. Just turn off half of them, if the problem goes away, swap that half for the other to make sure it comes back, then take out half of them, & repeat.

Actually you can use http://www.inforapid.de/html/searchreplace.htm to search through all your ESP's for a string if you know the name of the setting. It will list all the matches and you can track down the mod(s) that are modifying that setting. I use it periodically when I am trying to find out where something is coming from. It's particularly effective if you have a mod that keeps printing a message to the screen or console. Finding a game setting might not work as well, but it can't hurt to try.

Use the CS's Find Text tool for looking up strings.

That works for one plugin. The InfoRapid search works from the directory on all esp's. But yeah, if the OP is sure the problem is with Supreme Magicka, find text will work just fine.
