Have I made a big mistake?

I started playing morrowind kinda 2 years ago, and, after many noobish attempts to play the game, like creating stupid classes, i thought i made a decent char, an Orc Crusader.I must say that i am a fan of warcraft universe as well, and i wanted to be like a shammy, like have destruction as a major skill.
After a break of Morrowind, i returned playing it, but i kinda feel like i'm not enjyoing the game at it's full potential, because I can't really use destruction spells decently, because of the low mana, and now that i discovered that i could be a shaman, in the bloodmoon expansion, which i don't have.I also dont feel like making another character, after all i've been throught with Raikar :sadvaultboy:
So, do you think it's quite a good character?Orc Crusader, also joined Fighters Guild, which i've done most quests, Thieves guild and hlaalu(expelled)

If you get Bloodmoon, you can still use that same character, dude.

I imagine most people would have more than one character saved. Sometimes i want to be me high-level Necromancer, sometimes i want to be my low level up-and-coming-merchant character. Keep your Orc character, but maybe try starting a new on.

Maybe a magic-orientatied High Elf or something :D

Sterotypical Answer: No character is broken. Try to play around these limitations, make them a good challenge. Also train non-major intelligence skills to get mana up.

Sorry, not really sure how to answer  did the best I could though.
