Guards wont arrest me

i normally dont commit alot of crimes so i dont know how long ive been having this problem. whenever i commit a crime it doesnt say i have a bounty at all and the guards either approach me to talk to me like normal or they dont do anything at all. plus all the npcs and guards keep saying their normal lines whenever i break the law except it seems all glitchy. they just keep repeating themselves over and over before finishing any words. Sometimes this causes me to lag horrible which is really starting to scare me. does anyone know whats causing this problem? i tried disabling reneer's guard overhaul and anything else that had anything to do with the guards before making a new charactor but it didnt work.

See if it works with all mods diabled. If the problem happens with no mods, try a reinstall. If a mod is causing it, decide whether to
A. ask this thread to be moved to the mod forum, and post a mod list
B. test each mod individually (only recommended for short mod lists)
or
C. divide-and-conquer; each test is done with half of the suspect list of mods. You then narrow the suspect list, and test half of that.

that is so odd. Reneer's guard overhaul was one of the first mods i tested. but after narrowing down my mods its the only one thats causing the problem. could this post be moved to the mod forum so i can see if i can get to keep using it?

1) What version of the Guard Overhaul are you running?
2) Did removing the Guard Overhaul from your load order not fix the problem? It seems from your first post that removing the Guard Overhaul did not fix your problem, but in your second post it did. Which is it?

im not really sure which version it is, most likely the latest. i dont know why the problem went away after deactivating the mod a second time. i didnt really do anything else that would explain it. i just tried to reinstall it but it didnt help.

The only way I can help you / know if it is an issue is if you tell me exactly what version of the mod you are running. If it's 2.07 I'll try and fix it - otherwise I won't need to run around like a headless chicken trying to figure out what the issue is.

im not using a morrowind mod, it has an esp for morrowind but im sure im not using it

... what? RGO does not have any ESP files for Morrowind...? :confused:

Why this thread is in the Morrowind mods section I have no idea.

Anyways, I'm looking into the issue. Though I haven't been able to reproduce the error yet. -.-

I think I heard that it was a problem with the Guard Overhaul that he couldn't figure out how to fix.

I'm not normally committing crimes, but I felt like I should give it a test - went into the private quarters in a castle and started making some kills... all of a sudden guards would run up to me - dialog would be forced and they'd ask 'Is there a problem, sir?".... I would exit the dialog only to be forced back into it - like they should be arresting me. It's a never-ending cycle. I get forced back into dialog before I can kill or run away, but there is no arrest or "resist" option either.


I'd love to have guards not be omniscient, but I'd also like them to not all be my best friend either. Any mod suggestions?
