Heads are different colors than the body.

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 10:00 am

The heads of certain un-named NPCs are different colors than their bodies and I'm assuming this is caused by a mod I'm running, so if somebody would be so kind as to look through my load order it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance. :goodjob:

The only thing I can suggest would be to first try to make a merged/bashed patch and see if that works. If that doesn't work, then try to masterupdate everything :)

One of your mods adds or edits new NPC's and it is not an .esm. New mods that add people that are esp's instead of of esm's cause this issue. Where the head is the correct color for the race, but the body is always incredibly pale around the neck. Disable the mods in small groups (only the esp's) and find out which one is doing it, then tell the person who authored it.

there is a setting in one of the ini files which can fix some of these problems, another work around is to use tessnip to flag the esp in question to behave as a masterfile

Actually it's Caucasian heads with African American bodies but not all the time.

I was looking for an answer to question I had and found this for you:

It is probably the .ini setting that evil160 was referring to :)

Actually you are probably using a mod I know of that does this but cannot be talked about on these forums.....which is pretty stupid. But that is how it goes....its a certain "Killable....." mod. Hint hint.

If I were using that mod than you would have seen it in my load order.
