Looking for a book

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 6:13 am

I'm doing a little recopilation of all known Ansei-related lore, and there's an story mentioned in http://www.imperial-library.info/dfbooks/b105_alt_redguard.shtml called "The Dragon's Toe", but it seems to be incomplete and badly cut in the middle. I've tried searching the Library but I couldn't find the complete story. Anybody knows if it's avaliable?

Tuktu ansei :)

Right, OK....how? :D

Only known way is an e-mail address that doesn't already exists :(

It'd be a pity if that story would be lost forever...

You would have to look further down in the Redguard History Compilation. It's right there. It's even titled "The Dragon's Toe"... Ahem... Follow http://?http://www.imperial-library.info/dfbooks/b105_alt_redguard.shtml and scroll down until almost to the end.

that book is inaccurate at its best, totally lame at its worst. things like the Great Goblin Lord coming out of a portal and the japano-Raga having to fight him off should not be considered serious lore any longer.

i strongly recommend the http://www.imperial-library.info/obscure_text/viveccyrus.shtml for good Ansei info, and, if you dont mind delving into the unofficial (though strongly rooted in modern lore and oftentimes approved by MK, iirc), i suggest Sload's http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20231 on the http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19611&highlight=ansei.

To say the truth, I've found the goblins part....odd at his best. Although maybe it was only an anology for Orcs (I doubt Yokudan people would've seen an Orc in their lifes, isolated from the mainland as they were). I'll see later if I adapt that part of the lore for my recopilation, or I simply delete it.

BTW, thx for the links :) If you've more Ansei/Yokuda-related (and accurated) info, plz share.

no matter if they were orcs/goblins, it still reeks of Warhammer. its old stuff from before the redguards got really developed, and in my opinion (as well as the opinion of most lore "masters") it can be safely disregarded or downplayed. that book is full of contradictions (Ghost City of Dwarfhome lolwut?)...

I think it's a Clark Ashton Smith reference, and has nothing to do with Orcs.
