Quick ? about the Nexus

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 11:41 pm

I have recently been looking through the Nexus for mods I would like to use IF and WHEN I can get a decent computer. I've been making a list systematically looking through the (currently) 1000+ pages on the Nexus, organized via Upload Date so I don't miss the new ones. I got through approx. 100 pages before I realized I haven't been signing in! Needless to say I have missed out on spotting many mods I may have liked to use.

My simple question: What kind of mods have I been missing out on because I haven't been signing in? Were they just nudity, six, or child killing based mods, or have I missed out on ACTUALLY WORTHWHILE ones?

None. Signing in does not grand you access to "exclusive mods", it just limits what you cant actually download (Up to 2MB files) and prevents you from actually viewing the details on "advlt" related mods, but other then that, everything will show up on the searches.

Are you sure? I search "All Fallout 3 files" and get 1041 pages worth when not signed in. But when I am signed in, there's some 1080 more pages the magically appear.

Edit: Sorry, NOT 1080 more but 1080 total

Because when you're not signed in you don't get the pages that are considered advlt content. So you really aren't missing much at all.

Yeah, that's what I figured, those and child-killing mods. Thanks for the help, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything on level of importance with MMM or FOOK :)

Not at all. Unfortunately, there are alot of people who's only idea for a mod is coming up with some scantily clad woman, or one that's not clothed at all. It would be nice if they would devote their energies more to some gameplay issues, or creating new areas/quests etc.
