An idea for the Reinforced Chinese Stealth Armour

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 10:39 pm

This is something I've been thinking about for quite some time, since the reinforced chinese stealth armour mod came out. When you complete Operation Anchorage and are able to salvage the chinese stealth armour the BoS take great interest in the sneaky suit. So after several weeks (or months) the suit is upgraded to the reinforced chinese stealth armour. I was also thinking either the BoS could develop this piece of armour or the Outcasts as well except the outcasts' version wont be fully reinforced as the BoS version. Another thing is to change the stealth feature on the suit to make it like in anchorage, when the player goes into stealth mode, it will be deactivated as soon as the user attacks anyone or anything. Then about 5-10 seconds later the stealth field comes back on. This would make the stealth effect on the suit more balancing in my opinion. So either someone will take an interest in modding this or I will if no one is interested. It's something I wanted in Fallout 3 for a looong time and I'll see to it that it get's finished.

One more thing before I depart this thread, how much interest is there for a mod like this? Just out of curiosity, I'm mostly doing this modification for myself but if anyone has any feedback or opinions I am open to them as long as they make the game balancing and fair.

I'm also going to need permission from the author that has created the reinforced version of the stealth armour obviously.

I never really cared for the 'combat starts, end stealth' idea. I like the idea about the BoS and Outcasts taking an interest in it, but I've switched over to New Vegas for any RCSS-related development. I don't have any intention of continuing the FO3 version, nor providing permissions for someone else to expand/modify/whatever, either.

Sorry. :/

Well why not? I will give you full credit to the mod and you wont have to do anything except allow me to use your armor.
If I cant do it for Fallout 3, can I do something similar for fallout new vegas? I have an interesting idea for new vegas.

Quality control, conflict prevention, lack of interest. I'm not into the idea of having a project of mine reinvented, ultimately.
