Meet Infernal City Characters in Skyrim

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 8:15 am

The novel was OK but it was enough to have me anticipating Lord Of Souls the sequel. I DONT know how long characters live but if possible would anyone who read the novel like to meet these extraordinary characters..I can't wait for the sequel because of the cliffhanger ending and it would be awesome to have there history in Skyrim somewhere....

I think there is more then a decade between IC and Skyrim so some of character certainly won't appear.

No idea. Could happen taking the fact that Infernal City is cannon. If they can use a character already somewhat defined that takes some work load up, so there -could- be one or more IC character appearances. Or even family and acquaintances of the people.

Guess the fun comes to see if so when Skyrim drops.

Most of them will likely be dead by the time the game starts, Sul might still be around though, from what I recall Dunmer have very long lives.

All of the elves (except the orcs) have long lifespans. There are no specific facts stating how long though, but a few hundred years at least.

For I have read, IC took place 40 years later than the event of Oblivion, and Skyrim takes place 200 years later.

Infernal City: http://www.imperial-library.info/content/fourth-era
TES:V Skyrim: 200-or-so years after the events of Oblivion.

In other words, not likely.

EDIT: Bleh, ninja'd.

Actually, it's 160 years between IC and Skyrim.

Edit: Didn't take the time to scroll down to see that other people already said this hehe.

Quite awhile ago. It's called the Lord of Souls. Lord of Souls could either refer to Umbra or Clavicus Vile. Time will only tell.

For reasons already mentioned, I'd say it's unlikely that we'll see any characters from Infernal City in Skyrim, or from the next novel, for that matter, maybe an elf who appeared in it could still be alive in Skyrim, but otherwise. I doubt it. Though they might be referenced in Skyrim, certainly, maybe the events of the books will be spoken of in new lore, and we might see references to the characters in them, but actually meeting the characters themselves? Not likely, I'd say.
