Any particular reason www.elderscrollsonline.com leads to a blank page? Maybe an old, defunct fansite or something more ... interesting? I don't know and I'm far too lazy to do any research, so I figured I'd just throw this out here and see what happens.

Well a rumor cropped up a while back that it was purchased when Zenimax Online began working on their MMO only adding fuel to the fire for the MMO being TES, but alas there never was any concrete proof either way.
