They should release at least 1 screen a week.

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 8:48 pm

I think they should release at least 1 picture a week till the game ships on top of whatever info they plan on releasing (that still less than most games release before they ship). That way everyone one here who are constantly clamoring for new things to discuss will get it and it would stop bethesda from getting constantly bothered for new stuff all the time (for the most part). Or they could at least give us an outline of when they plan to release new info. What do you guys think?

I'm sure they care about your suggestion very much and will take it into consideration.

I think the reason they don't do that is because if they release a bunch of highest res PC screens, some the console gamers will whine when the game ships they the screens were misleading on how good the graphics would be, but I'd like to see some max settings pics, even though I am console gamer. They will probably release a few before the game ships.

If I'm not mistaken, a lot of the graphics stuff is done at the end of development, so the PC build might not look all that good compared to the 360 at this point.

I belive they did this for a long time while Morrowind was in development. Every friday (or maybe it was every other friday), a few screenshots were released. It would be nice to see it return :)

Just wanted to post a quick hello to everyone on the forums. Thanks for being here and keeping TES going. Yes, we read a lot of it, and have been for a long time. It's great to finally see a "V - Skyrim" section on here along with Morrowind and Oblivion. Like you, we're fans too, and we're just as excited about this game. The whole team at BGS has been giving this their all for the last several years. The next 11 months should be fun, and this is a great place for the team to hear from you. No, we can't give away info early, so don’t bait us into trouble!

Thanks again for all your support, not just now, but for the last 16 years.

todd

I echo that sentiment! We're obviously ravenous for new visuals! I'd like to see a screenshot of the character creation process, and a better view of a dragon.

Only seen like 6 screenshots, could anyone link me to some more?
For New Vegas info I had No Mutants Allowed which pretty much had every bit of news there.
But for Skyrim I dunno where to keep a lookout for updates.
Hard for me to keep up to date with what information has been released on Skyrim.

Your best bet right now is to just stick to the forums, and wade through all the topics about fast travel and graphical complaints to get to the juicy bits.

I find that more concerning than cool. Can we really entrust the expectations of high detail to someone who can't even use a proper noun correctly?!?

Lol jk, but on a side note I really hate when people put their screen name or name at the end of every post. I know you said it your name is to the LEFT! It is not a damn letter! I also hate people who link their facebook to other accounts, use an irl picture as an avatar, or use their real name as a screen name. Do you know how easy it is for people to find all your personal information when you do this? Easier than you think.

/end rant

Anyways This is a good idea. That is what I contribute.

That changes nothing for me, I want some decent resolution screenshots. Anybody who thinks either console could play skyrim in 1080p isn't worth catering to anyway, so let them whine!

Too many screenshots for me. I nee dthe suspense, i do NOT want to get burned out on the graphics before i see it fresh off the conveyorbelt. maybe 1 a month, and a few gameplay videos and technical videos as the winter months set in.
