No GDC or PAX East

My guess is a video trailer will come out in March or April and some form of Playable section will be present at E3. I am Pretty sure that was the way they planned the Oblivion release (they let people play the character creation and the 1st dungion at E3). We know the game is very playable now and what bigger way to hype the game 5 months before release and guarantee the Game of the Year than with a playable E3 demo. Plus they will undoubtably win Best of E3 which looks great on boxes when the game is released.
I have little doubt that they will go far beyond just a trailer for E3

Oblivion wasn't playable at e3. Bethesda demoed the game themselves and then released that five part video series.

...Which Pete Hines already confirmed no Skyrim at GDC or PAX East. That leaves Brink, RAGE, and Hunted. It's in the OP. Otherwise I missed your point.

I really think that people may be taking Pete's "month with an 'R' in it" comment a little word for word. He was most likely joking.

Well, I still think those of us pinning our hopes on that tweet derived the right conclusions - that we'll see gameplay footage between now and the end of April - assuming that Pete wasn't just teasing. It can be a little difficult to pick up whether someone is serious or not, in a tweet; I also didn't see any particular reason to think Pete was teasing in this case.

So, as others have since pointed out, no show at GDC or PAX doesn't necessarily mean that that prediction of when we'll see gameplay footage is wrong. It might just mean that what we'll get is a new trailer (not just a teaser) on the website, and then we'll have to wait until E3 to see some footage which is more faithful to the finished product.

Or at least, so I hope.
