well i hope there are mods makes the game last long.and for the rest of them im sure there is.

SD has not announced a map editor of sorts yet. There's a good reason why: it'd be such a pain to have to program each and every individual object for accessibility with SMART.

On the other hand, I do expect to hear about people who have made cool weapon/character appearance mods.

This. I expect a few other things as well but, I highly doubt they will release a map editor along with the game.
