Installed NMC's terrain and textures pack- what remains to o

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 1:06 am

So I've installed NMC's great terrain and texture packs, and wonder what graphics in the game remain that I can overhaul. Are there mods that improve the graphics for weapons, NPCs, and assorted objects? I'd be interested to read what overall combinations of graphics improvement mods folks recommend.

There's a lot of mods for retexturing smaller items. For something like this, I'd normally go into tesnexus, type retexture into the search box and then I usually sort the results "downloads" and then "descending" shows me the most downloaded mods (the more popular ones). Just tried it and found a lunchbox retexture, a clutter retexture, night sky retexture, pre-war money retexture, just to name a few. NMC retextures most of the static objects, for the smaller items, you basically just have to search for them. Not sure if there's any compilation mods that cover smaller items.

Ah, ok. That's gonna take a lot of searching. :-)
I especially want to make the interior settings (where frame rates are higher than outdoors) a lot higher resolution.

I like http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12492, http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3876 and http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3679 for improving those items.

Starting Out with NMC's is a solid base.

Later pick some smaller replacers to adjust the final touches to your liking.

I have replaced some minor things after NMC's pack. Like batteries and boxes and such. No shame in tweaking you game to your liking.

NMC did an outstanding job. Saying true to the feel and theme! :icecream:
