Dwemer Armor Suggestion

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 5:06 am

Would'nt it be awesome if dwemer armor was in fact a kind of back pack and in presence of enemies aware of your presence it would deploy plate of metal that surrounds you and make an awesome plate armor thats kind of mechanical. you know dwemer stuff.... other suggestions?

Dwemer satchel packs were enough. No more tech in my TES.

This doesn't make sense. Dwemer armor has been highly sought after centuries. We've had four games so far, and these mechanics haven't been found until the fourth era?

While Dwemer Plate may be http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Chimarvamidium... this idea's just stupid.

But, I hope they explore the "Power Armor" nature of Dwemer Armor more.

I think this is a pretty cool idea, but a little "techy" for TES.
Maybe a good mod.

All I could see was the Iron man animation. A bit cheesy for me.

The dwemer armor in Morrowind was the most horrible thing that has ever appeared in a videogame... it was just pieces of golems!!!

In Oblivion it was a nice armor. Not everything was better in Morrowind...

in morrowind it was sorta ad hoc scraps and pieces but it had a certain charm but in oblivion it was just gold swirls and purple skirt I mean if it was any worse it would be *sparkly* Im sorry but after however long its been since the dwarves disappeared without regular maintnance and upkeep even with there increase corrosion resistance morrowinds armor still to me at least was one of my favorites of course my first elder scrolls game was morrowind but between it and oblivion I choose morrowind stuff everytime.

The Oblivion's one looked quite mesopotamian. And the dwemer have a lot of mesopotamian features. So it was great for me, quite better than wearing pieces of broken stuff...

Do you choose Morrowind stuff EVERYTIME? If I ask you what combat is better you would say me that Morrowind's one...? Just an example, a lot of things improved in Oblivion...

Steampunk FTW, that may not work though, if I had to chose I would like it be more like Oblivions, that actually seems like armor meant for a human

I'd like it to be a little bit more steampunklike than the one in Oblivion, maybe with a few mechanical pieces and features... but not too extreme.

I will admit oblivion combat was bettewr especially with bows and or up close but it wasn't as interesting as morrowinds which had varying moves whereas oblivion was like left right left right slashes till the enemy fell over dead also in morrowind sometimes you hit so hard the enemy staggered to his knees from the sheer force now those were fun times.

You say that like it's a bad thing. I like the idea of Dwemer Armor being a dual-purpose Centurian Shell and Heavy Armor. It's another demonstration of Dwemer engineering ingenuity, by giving them tactical advantages. If they have enough suits of armor, they can be filled with mechanical chassis to avoid Dwemer losses. Or, if they don't have enough chassis in a defensive effort, or need the skill of a living wearer, the suit can be worn by either.

Doesn't have to be ugly to be effective...

Nah, I think having cybor- I mean... Dwemerpowersuits.... and Dwemerguns... is much better.

I think this is a good model for the new Dwemer armor.

IT'S MORPHIN' TIME!

TRICERATOPS!

And then BANG, the armour bursts from your backpack and you're suddenly wearing gold lycra.

Or... y'know, not. That's cool.

In Oblivion they staggered as well... in Morrowind it was quite tedious, specially at low levels. Praying to actually hit your enemy, you know. I have always thought that Morrowind's character had tetraplegia (for their combat abilities and speed).
