The Score/Soundtrack

Just Curious to see what your view is on the music score/soundtrack. After listening to a live recording of oblivions one (nine minutes of it) and seeing as how important it is in all forms of media, how important to you is the background music, personally I think it is a huge, but what do you guys think. Also how do you think it will sound.

I think it's huge. I'm a musician myself, and I think music is very important when it comes to capturing the mood of a game. It adds greatly to the experience.

I just wish we could hear more of the soundtrack. So far we only have one full song, which isn't as fulfilling as it would be if we had the full title music. But I suppose saving the best for last is just fine :P

Music in games is very important even if you do not always notice it's there.

I still get nostalgic when I hear the Morrowind theme, I think the music has a tremendous impact on the overall atmosphere of the game.

Music plays a huge part of games. When I play Morrowind without music I get kind of bored, to be honest. Audio is just important as video. (I say that as a mucisian, so I'm extremely biased)

I play with music for a short while. I then play with the music muted and the sound effects MAXED for the rest of creation.

Music is one of the main reason i play some games. As for Skyrim, the music adds so much to the game. It makes it a lot more exiting and epic, it just plays with your emotions :).

All of the music we have heard for Skyrim so far is stupendous to say the least. The trailer music and the time-lapse art video music are both amazing but the music that we heard in the Sounds of Skyrim video (where the imperial crest comes up in a Ken Burns effect) is the greatest thing I have ever heard in my life.

Music is very important to TES games. I feel that with Skyrim having such a strong atmosphere that it will play a bigger part in TES V.

Game soundtracks can be amazing and very immersive. And the Oblivion soundtrack was one such - the best soundtrack ever.
