I've been for the longest, off and on trying to get a single braid hairstyle for males in oblivion from considering hairs from the Avatar mod to Slofs wigs I've been unsuccessful...period. but I have a candidate and am hoping this is the one.

In the Japanese hair mod of which I came across in the Comprehensive Style Collection - Hair and Eyes Compilation mod, is a hair model of which I find impeccably useful to this endeavor Japanese Hair 100 as its listed in the CS has quite a sizable single braid hairstyle, but the hair has this annoying bang and is overall not what I seek. I desire to take that braid and put it on Oblivions Vanilla ponytail01 and call it a day.

however the 3d modeling program I have 3DS Max 2010 is proving uncooperative I have the last known plugin for it, but it seems that plugin does not function, and I am so inept at Gmax that I can't even get the Render window to appear so I can see whats what.

If I were to dive into Gmax, how does one go about getting the Render window open? mind you I've never modeled hairs, Ships, and buildings...maybe but not hairs....and at the very max all I feel neccesary is to take the braid for Japanesehair100 and put it on ponytail01....thats it :ermm: :bowdown:


Any advice? please? lol obtaining this will give me a stepping stone for Skyrim where I can get this hair into that game as well and continue my character <3

Note its for personal use, Im sure if there was a demand for it, the hair gods would have made one long ago...but I can't for the life of me find this hair style ANYWHERE....not even for the Sims lol

If you manage to do this, could you please, please, please make it usable for the womenfolk of Cyrodiil as well?

I know for absolute certain there are at least two people (...okay, I'm one of them) who will be extremely grateful if you would. Assuming you can, I mean.

That is, if it's anything like a french braid that you have in mind... like, not too long, but more practical for a warrior (e.g., Viking style), kind of thing.

I can whip that in if i actually find how to load the hairs in Gmax or 3ds, the hair resources are there and with some time I can get working with hairs now sigh this is like my third thread on the topic and no dice.

Can't help you right now... but my husband has picked up development of the Max plugin. It's going to be a few months away, but we will be releasing a new plugin for Max 2011 64 bit (and will compile a 32 bit version too). Should be out in time for Skyrim. We're aiming for the summer, but he has a bit of ramping up to do...
