My Morrowind odd voice replacers

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 10:20 am

Me and my friend started this project not too long ago. What it is, is just voice replacer mod we made and the voices were taken from Oblivion and morrowind. Right now we are currently making more voices. We don't plan on releasing it not unless my friend agrees. What we did was use a BSA unpacker for the oblivion voices instead of having it recorded through programs. Then used the Sony Sound Forge 9, a program we use to tweak the voice, wich was a hard thing to do. Then we just made a mod to replace the subtitle and audio.

*WARNING*
We only made the voices was only for the fun of it but it contains swear words just like the fallout series. Some of the voices are kinda weird and some of them are kinda sick but in a funny way.

This is Just for entertainment you should understand that but if you find this kinda offensive then thats also fine.

*HERE IS THE LINK TO A SHORT VIDEO ON MY FRIENDS YOUTUBE*

Here you go hope you guys enjoy it.
(NOTE THIS IS JUST OUR FIRST FEW ODD VOICES)

Well you are definitely testing the forum rules on mature content - offensive? I thought so.

*Oh yeah I forgot to add this...*

Some of the voices are not my ideas and some are. So for now we are just browsing through the audio files to find what we can come up with.

*Also*
If you want to add a voice file to this mod before the first release, so please send me an email.

Seems like some Bethesda people are a little up-tight about this...

But it looks (or rather, sounds) really cool. It would be great to have a little bit of variety with the voices. Especially since hearing people say "outlander" is so annoying! Just wonder, how many new phrases and voices would be added?

Well, I won't be using it (just not my cup o' tea), but you've done some really good sound editing. How would Beth feel about you releasing its audio files for a different game, though? I mean, I can see this being released for Oblivion no problems, but this is morrowind..

AFAIK Bethesda does not allow any of their files being transferred between any of their games (people trying to convert Oblivion stuff to Fallout 3 got taken down rather quick)

I'd be very careful with this stuff; don't want to get a lawsuit on your hands

As did I. Definitely on the very edge of indecency, and totally vulgar to boot.

Interesting use of voice manipulation. Morrowind just got dirty!

These are made from Oblivion voice files, which means you are NOT allowed to publicly release this mod.

You even said it yourself. Please read the forum rules on copyright before doing something like this.

Well I never said I was going to actually release it. This is a personal mod I just wanted to share it to the public or view it to them. BTW I don't own oblivion but my friend aka Orfreeza dose. He posted the video up on there. We could put it on Oblivion but we were having troubles with the lip files.

It's really no problem, you'll just have trouble hosting it on the mainstream sites.

It would be, as it would constitute a breach of copyright.

Morroblivion requires the user to have both Morrowind and Oblivion to be installed (at least from what I've heard), it doesn't put original Morrowind files in the download. That's different.

But Morroblivion is a forbidden subject here.

Recently there have been a number of posts concerning Morrowind Mods and people using assets from other games, in whole or in part.

We do not and will not get involved in the policing of the Morrowind Mod community. However, in no way, shape, or form can we allow people to talk about taking copyrighted and proprietary materials from other games and using them for mods for Morrowind.

Any threads discussing using models or assets from other games in Morrowind Mods are going to be locked, no questions asked. As a software developer and publisher, we don't have the luxury of looking the other way on this. Sorry.

We certainly don't want anyone using the work we've done on Morrowind in mods for other games, so we have our part when it comes to other games. Please stop using assets from other products for Morrowind mods, and please do not use any assets from Morrowind for projects in other games.

Thanks for your understanding.

-Pete

Also, the content of the voice files is too crude for this forum.
