In before launch!

One thing I have not seen discussed in this forum are a selection of skins/patterns you'd like to see for guns, clothing, etc.

Anyone got any ideas...

Inspired by Gears 3 (though I hate the game) Flaming skin for its weapons.

Be creative. Don't forget symbols and images that may be stamped on the gun housing too, like skulls, letters and creatures!

No.

So...people will run out and preorder skins but they can't come up with any on their own...pity.

Personally I was always fond of Tigerstripes or Digital Urban but I think theres afew more ideas out there.

The Tiger teeth seen on some WWII Fighters would be pretty cool on Miniguns and of course a Deathshead symbol on the rifles is pretty standard anymore with airsofters so I couold see that implamented.

I did like the "Berlin" skin in Bops, which was the skin used on tiger tanks in WWII by Germany. I think, we'll they are very similar at least.

Actually, I'm pretty sure this has been done before, but I'll go with my usual choices. Urban camo (the black and white kind, none of that black and red), and maybe a Russian camo (I like the blue camo style)

EDIT: As for symbols on the gun, I wouldn't mind a "Jem lick them wit Thunder" GL, and maybe a turtle for all the forum members :P

You just reminded me of one of my favorite camos, How about this on your Security Trench coats anyone? German WWII Camo

And you can never go wrong with Winter (even though I know theres no snow levels in BRINK...itd be a nice taunt symbol tho)

They had shark teeth on the nose of aircraft. That became popular in WWII when we flew against Japan, as there was something bad about being killed by a shark in the Shinto religion (can't remember what).

Personally, I think a skin that shows the gun with a "worn and torn" look would be pretty cool (like filing the edges of it). I don't really care about camo colors too much, but I would use the worn and torn look.

All the resistance guns have the worn and torn look.

I'd say that people would think of their own, fi they could actually put it in the game. Unfortunatly, there is no gun skin/custom skin option, only the preorders.

I like the idea of new skins and all but Brink has already entered it's distrabution faze which means
your pre-orders are currently sitting in neat little piles at the Splash Damage warehouses, in other
words it's too late for new data to be added to the launched game. doesn't mean patches won't
add stuff though.

Personally, I would just like various flat colors. Red, blue, yellow, orange, green, purple, cyan, pink (why not?), maroon, lime, brown, gray, black, white, etc.

And then the option to pick two of those colors and have various patterns like stripes, checkerboard, polka dots, camouflage, tiger, racing stripe, half 'n half, scales, etc.

I think blue-and-grey camo patterning would look awesome with Security gear - whether on armour or weapons (or both).

There is urban blue-grey digital camo for Security clothing, it can be seen on one of April's screenshots (along with an Eel mask w/ yellow eyes, I used it as my avatar for a bit).

Really? That is pretty interesting. You'd think thatd be a huge asset to their whole "custimze your gun" slant. Weird.

Yeah, it got official confirmation on the SD forums (I posted a link to it a while ago - late last week, I think?)

I bet they'll do skins as DLC though.
