Questions on Mephala the webspinner

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 9:07 pm

because she can? I am thinking about making one of my main characters in my Fanfic a pawn of Mephala. Is it likely for her to meddle in Cyrodiil's politics just to cause a global mess and mess with people's head? From what I've gathered on UESP he/she would.
Would he/she conspire and/or align her/himself with Mehrunes Dagon?

From what I've read about her, Mephala is purely associated with murder and strife, but not always "evil" murder. She also likes justified murder such as revenge, execution, or assassinating government officials. In Morrowind where they have a Morag Tong (similar to the Dark Brotherhood, but they're legally allowed by the government), Mephala is considered a "Good" Daedra because she is associated with assasination and taught the Chinmer how to kill their enemies secretly.

It's not really that Mephala just purely messes with lives, she enjoys it when mortals kill others, and more tactful murders please her greatly then just savagely beating someone with a club.

Anyways yeah, I think it would be possible for Mephala to manipulate a protogantist to get what she wants, that's basically what all the Daedra do. And I could see her alliging with Dagon. I mea in Oblivion her Spider Daedra are seen fighting with his Daedra, perhaps she has already alligned with him?

So it's a given fact the spider Daedra are Mephala's minions?
A civil war because of her meddling would be just the thing for her? (I'll stick with referring to Mephala as a "her/she", seems more appropriate referring to a webspinner as a she imo)

Yes.

Secret murder would be Mephala's thing. War and conspiring to cause war sound much more like Dagon.

Actually, that sounds more like Boethia. Well, the deceit, conspiracy, secret plots of murder, assassination, treason, and unlawful overthrow of authority part at least.

Lies, six and murder seems pretty straightforward. Sins of guilty pleasure.

Lets put it this way, Mephala had a hand in the Oblivion crisis. To what extent, no one will know. But to question her involvement would be underestimating her. And never underestimate a Daedric Prince.

This is how Mephala would make breakfast: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3701755646122501685&ei=ey_7SazLAYagqAKdn_HIAg
Extend that idea to politics.
