Hazadir's Legacy

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 7:48 am

I was making my way through Fort Urasek when I found Hazadir's Old Blade (Hazadir's Legacy). I got a pop-up explaining that it's part of a set, but I can't find any more information about it. Does anybody know more about the set, and if it's added by a mod? Thanks.

Francesco.

And these sets are not unique - My character has found probably 4 of each set. Also I've found that in an FCOM game they are not all that helpful.

I figured as much. The sword only does 5 damage with my current character - as much as a steel longsword.

Thanks for the info :)

Even in combinations they don't get that much of a bonus ... as I recall.

Certainly nothing compared to some of the unique items found in an FCOM+Armamentarium game - or even adding in artifacts.
Some of the rarer stuff in arma+artifacts are quite powerful.
With OOO the included and tweaked ayleid weapons are almost overpowered and they turn up with increasing frequency in my game, so rare at first then more so as time goes on. This is perhaps appropriate but not so much with the 'unique sets' in frans as you are not likely to find all of the set within a low level and by the time you do get the whole set there are so many other choices that you end up going with the other options.

In a pure Frans game probably more valuable/useful.

It's not from Fran's mod but from Oblivion WarCry. It's not a capital difference, but let's give credit where it's due. As far as the bonuses are concerned, you get them by wearing several pieces of a set. It can prove useful for some (like armorer bonus to repair your gear when you're not journeyman). The only problem is that sometimes the bonuses are not properly removed/added to your character. Do NOT hotkey the complete sets or parts of armor.

Oops - yeah ... sorry not Frans - warcry.

Still like I said the bonuses seem great if your level is under 8 but it may take that long or longer to get a whole set to get the bonuses.

The sets may not be drowned out as much in a pure Warcry overahul environment. In FCOM though a bit more rare.

Actually with my current level 21 character I cannot think of the last time I saw them (at least 10 levels).

Hazadir's and Ysgramor's sets show up frequently in my games. I usually find one or two pieces of each set whenever I start a new character. Unfortunately in an FCOM game their usefulness seems protracted.

There are several folders in Warcry's armor directory prefixed with 'set' but I've yet to see any others. I always liked the idea of items sets from back in the days of Diablo 2, which is what Warcry is based on. It would be nice if those set items were tweaked and cleaned up in a future FCOM release.

There are modified scripts for those items in the next FCOM. Just some spelling cleanup and a partial repair of the equip/unequip bug (Doesn't prevent errors, but makes it easier to fix them).

The bonuses are pretty good, but not exceptional.

I wish there was a way to make the items actually unique, though. Might be doable, but will take some work.

If they were actually unique then I think that would justify substantial bonuses.

just a suggestion.

What would you consider substantial? One of them fortifies heavy armor, athletics, strength and endurance by 15 points and give you resistance to fire, frost and shock.

Another gives you 35 Resist Magic, plus fortified Magicka, blade and restoration.

It's not like they're hard to acquire, they just turn up on the regular enemies. Uniqueness would only make it harder to find a set, not harder to acquire each piece when you do find it.
