I don't think English is the first language of the topic creator so I will post a more legible version those of you who are having trouble understanding :)

In here let's post some photos of Skyrim-like landscapes to help out Bethesda and PC modders to help make Skyrim look much better.

The reason we are doing this is because of problems like -

1. Bad LOD textures and problems rendering the distance properly in Oblivion and Skyrim's screenshots
2. Unrealistic generated mountain terrain in Oblivion.

These things weren't very good.

Here are some that I have found using google - http://www.google.ru/images?um=1&hl=ru&newwindow=1&client=firefox&rls=org.mozilla:ru:official&tbs=isch:1&&sa=X&ei=UtdTTcG-JdL-4wbzjvzSCA&ved=0CDIQBSgA&q=mountain+landscape&spell=1&biw=1280&bih=837

Even though Skyrim isn't supposed to be a copy of any of the Norden European countries, I think they've already shown that they are a major influence (see the "Skyrim is a Norse thing" thread/ my last post).

So I will post some landscape pictures from Norway, all from more or less the same degrees (is it called that) except for when I've stated otherwise, to show how diverse a Norden region actually can be, depending on altitude and proximaty to oceans with warm streams.

Lofoten (further north)

Sognefjorden (a bit further north)

I remember a lot of memebers on the forum wishing that the next TES game wouldn't be Skyrim, because it would only be snowy mountains. These pictures show a glimpse of what Skyrim could look like, and be realistic concerning geography and climate.

I'm going for a hike this Friday. I'll take some pictures, if I see anything suitable.

I don't know the area we're going to, but I know a lot of other places that'd work in the game.

But that just proves my point. Skyrim only looking like this is what got a lot of people negative about the possibility of Skyrim in the first place. Even though Skyrim is in the north, it doesn't have to look like this.
