Why am I getting these graphics errors?

I have been making a mod (for my own personal use and not for distribution) that places extra merchants on the streets of the market district. I have used some items from Korana's Millstone Farm mod. For some reason I am getting graphics errors in the market district now. They are in the form of long, flat, coloured lines that have come from NPCs and containers. They start at a point and get wider. I have also had problems with the tails of beast race NPCs that I have made. My first attempt (a male Khajiit) had no tail, just a long thin line that stuck out sideways from where it should be. After trying to find out what was wrong and failing, I deleted him and replaced him with a female Argonian. She has no tail, but until I did some tests this morning there were no graphics errors from her either. Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong or how to fix it?

You need to use the beast skeleton if you make a 'NEW' argoinian or kajiit.

Its easier to just make a copy of an existing argonian or kajiit and make your changes to that. Everything is already setup for your beast race if you do it this way.
