Reloading plugin

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 8:51 pm

I've recently made some changes to a mod of mine, but when I go in-game, some of the changes are not effective.

Namely, I've moved two houses, and their doors are still in the original locations. As well, a hanging lamp has not moved. A bunch of items sitting on market stalls have not moved (though I think this one can't be avoided...). And lastly, people are standing in places they would have been before the houses were moved (i.e. their reference markers), even though I've set new locations for them.

How can I get the plugin to refresh? As it's a quest mod I'd rather not have to have people remove, save, and reload the mod as they will lose quest progress.

You need to use a save game that was BEFORE you ever visited that area with your mod active.

Some things that are persistant, like doors and activators are actually saved in your save game when you visit the location. And your savegame will ALWAYS override any changes you make in the mod.

You can also create a clean save by loading your game without your mod activated and save it. Then reactivate your mod and use your cleaned save game and start the mod all over.
