I am sure the world builders out there have figured out that if you try to make a lake or rivers with the default water in the cs above the default level, that you cant generate distant lod's for the water. So if you wandering around and come over a hill or mountain you almost bump into the water before it appears. Has any one figured out how to get the default water to show or how to generate distant lod's so the water will show up? I have tried every program you can imagine.

I believe the only way to make it work for the LOD terrain is to use a separate vwd water mesh that is tied to an otherwise invisible. I believe there is a resource somwehere that can be used for this. There is still a brief disappearance/doubling when the cell transitions from being a distant cell to an active one, but it's about as good as you're going to get.
