Makes sense to me, seeing as NPCs can get addicted to it. I never really used Skooma, is it not addictive for PCs in past games then?

Yes, it is. It's called roleplaying.

I don't see a problem with drug use, and it definately adds to the immersion of the game. It's obviously gonna get an "M" rating with what we've heard so far for the combat. I'd love to see some dregs in the streets begging for skooma, or maybe some of the upper elites of society sniffin' pixie dust or huffing dragon farts.

Well yes, but most things are possible that way. I meant as an in game feature. I know there was addiction implemented in Fallout, just not sure about Oblivion (i.e. stats penalties in withdrawal).

Yes. I never play a drug addict (or even use them for that matter), but this is part of a RPG. If you want your character to be addicted to skooma or some other drug, so be it. The game is rated 'M' after all.

Nope, wasn't implemented as in-game feature in previous games.

If they add some kind of immersive "I need a fix" and stat downgrades for withdrawl and stat bonuses for keeping up... Well honestly it would basically be like Vampirism only Fox News will be all over it, so I think yes.

Edit: For general addiction like alcohol, not just skooma.

i don't so much care about the addictiveness as much as the effect that it will have on you which i hope will be more visible than in previous elder scrolls games.

Well, there was that http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Shivering:Addiction.

But yeah, if NPCs could get addicted to Skooma, I want to too!

Yeah about the green moat that was a little drastic in negative effects i mean that kills you stats.

Well, I was talking about the Felldew. Getting addicted to that just had stat boosts/drains depending on how long its been since you consumed felldew, and I really don't see why they couldn't do something similar for skooma/moon sugar.

Well yeah. I liked the way Fallout handled it.

I really need an actual effect to make my RP more real.

I want hallucinations aswell.

Better idea: Make the effects of Skooma so awesome you become addicted to it by not wanting to not be under its influence.

haha!

Yeah i'd love to break into a mansion open up a Jewelery box and find half a kilo of Moon Dust in it :bolt:

Also what happens if you take enough Skooma? Will time start to slow down, or will you just have a massive heart attack and go into Cardiac Arrest?

Yeah, but with ability of some kind of treatment.
Not that I'll ever consume skooma, but hey, if it is a drug, then it should act more like one. :P
