Thank god!

Ok so I was in a 'vampire' cave just finding Dwarven stuff, when a vampire attacked me giving me the vampire disease thing, thats temporarily untill after 3 days. Thank God for when I saved
my game before I went into dungeon. :intergalactic: :coolvaultboy:

How fortuitous that you had a recent save! :goodjob:

Yes, saving before fighting them is good. I find simply carrying a few pieces of mandrake root (cures disease & easy to find) to be very, very handy.

Yeah, I save my file after every vamp kill when I'm in a lair to keep my progress going w/o worrying about contracting the disease.

Start - Reload

Visiting a church has the same effect (can be only used once a day to cure vampirism).

Uhhh .. I don't have enough gold. Can I pay you with Sigil Stones ? Got plenty of them .. :-)

It's "Thank the Nine", blasphemer! :P

I hate the vampire disease too. It's easy to spot, though, if your fatigue bar is slightly lower than max and doesn't rise to full, you've got the disease. And you don't turn into a vampire if you don't sleep, so you can just keep going until you get to chapel, or find other way to cure the disease.

i dont really worry about it. if i catch it, i get it. i either go to a chapel, use a mandrake root if i have one, or use a potion of cure disease. my characters rarely sleep, as i dont often see a need for it, so i never worry about it, plus being argonian i already have a 75% resistance to disease, so its rare for me to catch it anyway. :)

I didn't know Cure Disease worked on Vampirism! Good to know, though.

I just made my own Cure disease potions (They weigh 0.1 compared to the normal 0.5 so I can carry 10 instead of 2.) Being a master alchemist is a great bonus for the dungeon delver that gets diseased often.

Resist disease has no effect on the vampire disease, I have caught it with 100% disease resistance. so thats not the reason you dont catch it often, its just pure luck.

Once your a vampire, no praying will cure you. Also if you are on PS3 GOTY. you have to reload. I save before, during(bunch of times) and after each quest.

This has to be the most useless thread ever.
