The ingame settings in the status section of your inventory popup do not save for me.

I have to manually turn the cross hair off, sneak icon off and more whenever i want to play, i'll save exit out of oblivion, play later and my cross hair is back on etc.

As far as i know it isn't possible to save the setiings from the in-game menu. What i did was take a screenshot of the settings page, and the edit the Data/Menus/prefabs/hudmainmenu_config.xml file to have those values by default. And copied the xml file so i don't have to do it everytime i reinstall it.

I've never got it to save the settings on Oblivion. The Fallout 3 version does save them though, and having played Fallout 3 first it seemed odd it doesn't have such function
