Falmer ruins?

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 9:17 pm

Do you guys think we will be seeing more evidence of the elusive falmer in skyrim, perhaps in ruins and artifacts like ayleids and dwemmer in oblivion and morrowind? according to the uesp the falmer were present in skyrim when the first Nedes(ancestors of nords/bretons/cyrodils) came to that land, not just solstheim. I personally think its a good idea, i just hope they make the ruins feel like walking through an actual city, the dwemmer/ayleid ruins had none of that feel.

I'd definetly like to see more evidence of a once strong falmer presence is skyrim. I think it would be really cool is there was a side quest line where you investigated rumors of recent falmer activity, the evidence for there current existence would get stronger and more convicning with each quest. The questline would end with you finding a recently abandoned camp site. At the camp site there would be a note written in the falmer language and some sort of valuable treasure, this is the best evidence for the Falmer yet but their trail has gone cold.

I agree with everything the OP just said... on both wanting to see Falmer ruins and having them actually feel like the ruins of settlements unlike two other Elven ruin types from two other Elder Scrolls games.

Falmer aka snow elves, that used to live in Skyrim. We better get some Falmer ruins.Seems logical to me,and with Dwemer ruins already confirmed Skyrim has potential to unveil new information and clues on both of those races. At the very least,I would like to come across some books that uncover more about both races.

I'd like to see Ayleid ruins near the Cyrodiil border, Dwemmer ruins near the Morrowind border, and Falmer ruins in the rest of Skyrim. It doesn't really make sense to me that the ancient kingdoms empires had the same borders as the modern Empire and that the ruins would just stop at the borders. The variety would also be fun and make things less generic.
