make marksman interesting by not making ONE WEAPON

I wish, but we already know the answer is no.

ALthough Long/Short Bows might exist, but I doubt they would make the distinction. Short bows were historically used for cavalry archers, and if we even get horses at all in this game, I doubt we will be able to attack while on horseback.

The reason you guys dont know why crossbows or other things couldnt be in is because you are not game designers. You cant just put everything you think about into a game, just like you cant draw a picture just putting everything that comes to your head.

compare a semi automatic rifle with a bolt action and you would know what i mean.

actually, no... i wouldnt.

what the hell do guns have anything to do with this?

guns are nothing like bows, first of all... other than the fact that they shoot projectiles... but you can compare someone's HAND in that way, seeing as how people are capable of throwing objects.

i know how the bows would work fine, but i dont see how comparing guns to them would make anyone understand.

your first mistake... mentioning guns... second mistake... comparing them to bows.

anyway, that crap aside, i would like to see more types of bows and see some differences between them... though i doubt it'll happen.

Technically, composite bows were used, not short. And just because one culture may have used long bows - haven't bothered to verify this point - does not completely invalidate the point about shorter bows, so I don't know why you gave it a big fat strike-through.

You keep bringing up this HOW HARD IS IT SO BLAH BLAH point, you don't seem to factor in balancing or testing. I don't think I'm alone in saying I'd rather it done well than simply done. Otherwise, I'm sure I'll see you posting about how BGS did such a lame job of bows come November 12.
