This game is gonna go gold in like a month if this is any indication, could this lead to an incentive for added content ?

How do you figure the game will be gold in a month when release will not be until November?

What does the title have to do with the rest of this thread? What are you asking here? Is there going to be some form of expansion pack/DLC? Of course. That goes without saying.

What does going gold, and having expansions have anything to do with having 100,000 fans on facebook?

Well, Todd Howard already has over 1 billion "theoretical" dollars. Maybe he should battle with Tron Guy for a bit.

I really have no idea what this thread is about . . . why am I typing here?

Took me awhile, but I know what this is about now. Back on topic, I am pretty sure this game will get expansions and add-ons, as most of TES games have. Not sure what you mean by going gold, become really hyped perhaps?

About what?

Oh, that was a reference to an episode of South Park. The boys thought they could get rich if they made a viral video, but it turns out all you can make from a viral video is "Theoretical" money.

And the Star Wars Kid would be a multi-millionaire if he could get a dollar for every time somebody watches him on YouTube.

No, because you can't let the birds go further loose, or they'd shout easy play.

The meaning "going gold" when talking about games like this means the game is finished.

I have participated in several betas, and when the game "goes gold" that means they finish the beta up and ship a 'gold copy' to publishers.

If I had to guess, I would reckon the saying started in the music industry.

I was surprised by all the responses that didn't understand this. Games typically go gold a month before launch. No point in before that, since any changes to the game would have to done in a patch after that.
