VtM: Bloodlines

Played Toreador first, then Malkavian. The latter was much, much more awesome, though playing them without beating the game with another clan wouldn't be nearly as fun.

Celerity is such a great skill, however: take down a room of enemies before they can even raise the alarm, whirling around like a bloodlusted blender... :D

Yeah I remember for the longest time the only way I could get past the sewers was to use Celerity. I couldn't time my jump right after turning the pumps on.

Obfuscate I like more though. Stealth kills ftw!

Ah, but they can. In fact when first meeting with Therese my Tremere tried to Dominate her in conversation, but failed and got caught :P

As mediveh said, that's impossible in the vanilla game. Can only be done with mods. Though Dominating Theresa would never have worked anyway, she's both an older vampire and probably of a lower generation. What I find much more interesting is that in only in the span of a week or so, the player becomes powerful enough to take on some of the most powerful vampires in L.A., goes from being able to be dominated by lacroix to being completely immune to Lacroix's attempts at Domination, something a week-old fledgling shouldn't be able to do. Also, we know the player is an eighth generation vamp. The fact that he's initially susceptible to Lacroix's domination means Lacroix is of a lower generation. Gotta wonder how the PC suddenly gained complete immunity to a lower generation vampire's dominate, in a week.

That part is a [snip], but on my fourth playthrough I nailed it on my second try. But Celerity undoubtedly help, that′s for sure.
When going through the warrens the first time with my Gangrel I never thought I′d make it out again, I almost gave up! Hate that part

This thread needs more nosferatu loving . . . or at least nosferat appreciation . . . preferably from afar.

In my opinion that's what a vampire should be: stealthy, powerful, and monstrous.

I did quite enjoy my Malkavian play through and a few months ago I started a Tremere but I got distracted and I haven't had the chance to finish yet (I was about half way through).

Nosferatu will most likely be my next play through. Tremere was the first clan I finished with and it was a lot of fun. :)

Did one Nosferatu playthrough, was one of the most fun I've had. The Haven in the sewer was a really nice touch, and I loved when I showed the old lady in the diner my face

And the player Nossie looks awesome. Not as fugly as Bertram, but still really brutal. Or if I'd be lucky enough to look as good as Barabus I wouldn't mind being a Nosferatu myself I think, they have an awesome set of disciplines.

Tremere: nothing is more satisfying than watching Knox explode from blood boil.

I started a Nossie player a few days ago to try out that mod pack I mentioned in an earlier thread. I'm a post a pic of a Nosferatu Yukie just for you in a few days.

Tremere, but Gangrel was a very close second.

The few times I've played I've always gone with gangrel. I embrace my inner animal.

What I don′t understand is this. You are not allowed to travel by taxi because of your monstrous appearance, but yet you have to do all these quests involving showing your face to humans. By itself, isn′t it a Masquerade violation just to do that?

Yes, but the lady probably died of a stroke shortly after that anyway, so I don't think it matters much :P

Showing your face on the street counts as a Masquerade violation, and the quests often have special dialogue to work around that. Can't remember any details though, its been a long time since my Nossie playthrough. But usually I am very annoyed if inconsistencies like that pop up, and I can't recall being annoyed by it in Bloodlines. So somehow it must have worked well.

Gangrel and Brujah are more my style. But I'm enjoying the Malk run I'm doing now. Laughing at the blood man was fun, and he was only too happy to laugh with me. We had good times. Only just finished the beach house so need to get the fued between bertram and Therese called off.

Yeah that was fun, to make Vandal laugh his a** off :)

That feud though, not so fun after the first time around. Only wants to get it done so I can get to the warehouse, my fav quest besides those neat ones in Chinatown
