Well, you don't act like him, have powers like him, or do anything he ever did, you just fix the svcky ending to his life with a celestial grudge match.

That was well said. As an aside, I wonder if Nerevar's death was chance/misfortune, or could it have been fate? Millennia of Dunmer history would be different if Red Mountain had ended differently.

Maybe it was fated, the way Lorkhan's demise was fated -- both fruitful.

The entire history of Tamriel even. The Tribunal saved Tamriel quite a few times - Vivec severely depleted an Akaviri army passing htrough Morrowind by submerging it, Sotha Sil's pact with the Daedric Princes, Sotha Sil & Almalexia kicked Mehrunes Dagon's butt, Almalexia & the Underking sent a demon quaking back to Kamal, etc.
