Broken Oblivion disk (PC)

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 2:51 pm

Hi there.

My game disk (PC) was a bit scratched so I bought some disgustingly cheap CD-cleaner (bad idea). After I used it, it just completely scratched up my disk and made it completely unreadable. I was pretty upset because of that [snip] Now I want to install the game on my laptop, but since the disk is unreadable I can't do it properly.

You should call Bethesda tech support and see if there's a way of getting a replacement disk.

If the scratches are superficial, there are machines available that attempt to buff them out. A cheap one will make things worse (maybe the route you went), but you could ask at your local game store or video rental shop. They would use a quality machine and may be willing to try a repair on your disk for a fee.

But try tech support first as HD said.

Yeah, or contact 2K Games as they are the publisher in Europe.
