More Where That Came From GNC mod not working

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 3:44 am

Okay, I've added a few mods onto Oblivion and did okay. I've read all of the modding tips hear and elsewhere. I've got the FOMM installed and downloaded the GNC mod and the song lists 20 through 100. The load order seems correct with the 100 songs listed after the GOTY content and the box checked. It's appearing in my FOMM and in the data area of my game when I start up. But during the game when there should be songs playing, all I get is dead air space.

I'm new at this. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Have you done the quest yet for GNR to be available in the entire Wasteland?

I repaired the dish so that the signal is now clear and then talked to Three Dog about Dad. Is there another quest?

Nope, it should be working if you have done the relay dish quest - so, unfortunately I won't be much help here as I have never had issues with the radio in my game, so that was the best I could think of. :(

Thanks anyway Red Eye!

Maybe someone else will be able to help. I really had to struggle to get everything found, put in the right place, and loaded up. I'm sure it's some noob-to-mod installment sort of thing.

There was mention in the instructions of making sure everything was moved intact and I'm a little confused regarding the ad files which seem to contain commercials but are different than the song 20 through 100 lists.

In my FOMM there is a GNR file and a Song file which kinda seem to be the same thing.

Did you get the GNR radio fixed version and overwrite the ESP with the right number of songs loaded. Like you should using the 20(M) version for 20 songs all the way up to the 100(M) version if you have 100 songs but I also think there is 1 more fix too but wont be able to check until tonight.

I have found over the last year or two that installing the mod and ALL of it's tracks VIA FOMM is the easiest and quickest way to do it and make sure that it functions the way it is meant to. Make absolutely sure to use only one of the ESP's. For instance, If you download all one hundred tracks (IMO the best way to go) use only the esp for 100 tracks (you can delete all the others that you don't need.) Hopefully this will help you get get GNR running properly.
