@falcon8204 and WillieSea - Here's a image to proof that the original laser pistol dose the same bug too, the bug dissapears when you re-euip the weapon but every time you reload the weapon it resurfaces. On the left hand side is before reload and on the right after reload in 3rd person:
http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Captain-Ultima/images/Fallout3/laserpistolerror.jpg

that's really really odd. i would have never noticed it if you didn't point that out. i'm not sure if i'd be able to fix it though. it's even more strange that it would show up only in 3rd person...but maybe not: aren't there separate anims for both 1st and 3rd person views? if so, maybie one of the devs nudged the cell compartment by mistake. if that is the case, the only way to fix it would be to go in and modify the 3rd person reload anims.

@WillieSea - Hey could you use some new icons for your scorcher and vault 13 suit? If so check if these will do for you:
http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Captain-Ultima/images/Fallout3/icons.jpg

man, those look sweet! :)

@falcon8204 - That scorcher model is wicked close to the original, any chance you will release either just the model or a finished one at some point?

thanks. :) i was trying to make as close to a 1:1 reproduction as i could (lol it svcks that the only image available of it was the FO2 inventory pic). i wasn't planning on releasing it, but if other people like it i might release it as-is. its not really finished as the grip/guard part is not integrated with the main 'gun' part. plus i haven't UV'd the model yet. if someone else can finish it up i wouldn't mind sending it, provided that the original look be kept the same.

@captain-ultima - Oh Yeah! New icons would be awesome! Send them my way and I will include them in the mod (with credit to you)!

Icons have been sent via PM, let me know if you didnt get it Willie.

That gives me a idea, let me try something with thereload anims and get back to you on it if it works the way i think it might......
EDIT: Nope, my idea didnt work, but i did find out enough to confirm that the broblem is indeed not in the gun but in the 3rd person reload animation, 1hpreloadf is the file name.

I could try finishing the model if you wont mind me having a copy of it, im not exactly a master at it but its amazing how far you can get with a little cut and paste.

I will attempt making my own crit animation sequence with guidance from Wei.

I have the icons and added them to the mod. They will be available in the next patch.

Perhaps I can find somebody that can fix the reload-F animation, I will ask around.

Well, I made my own crit effect. It combines the flames with the laser crit effects. It looks pretty good, I think.
Should there be an 'ash' pile or just the body laying on the ground?

That sounds cool, can we get to test it soon? I think there should be a ash pile, i think it would add to realism.

Ok, I made an ashpile. I had to fade out the body with the SetActorAlpha to make it look realistic. I think it looks pretty good. I will probably have a new 'full download' ready later today.

The author of EVE did not give me permission to use his.
You are welcome to make a patch that requres EVE. I will not be making my mod require other mods to be used.

Yeah, it works pretty good. The EVE author gave me some pointers on how to make it.
I dug in and learned how to make them. It turned out pretty good I think. :)

It's definitely a cool weapon, a bit weak on initial damage which limits its usefulness though, not something to use on groups. Might I suggest:

-faster recharge and larger clip size.

-more damage.

I'm also having a strange script popping up in the corner whenever I fire it saying "cannot remove worn item".

Use the receptionist terminal and choose the "Weapon Settings" option. This is only active after you get the weapon.

Nothing from my mod. That would be an issue with some other mod of yours. There are so many scripters out there that do not know how to isolate their scripts to run only when necessary that its not funny. Perhaps its some 'ammo' mod that does not recognize the ammo that this weapon uses.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know about the weapons setting options. Is this compatible with the Calibr mod? It's the only ammo altering mod I have.

I don't use calibr so I don't know what it does.
You have some mod that is trying to unequip an armor object (probably an invisible 'token') when a weapon is fired.

I have no scripts in this mod that execute on weapon fire.

Managed to test the latest version of of this mod, without spoiling anything i can say that everything works fine for me atleast. The final Mark of the weapon might be a tad to powerful tough, i keep one shotting everything but deathclaws.

That is why there are 4 to choose from. You pick the weapon you like and have fun with. The MkVII is supposed to be very powerful. You might like the MkV or MkIII better. The MkI is very low powered for those who think they need to shoot something 50 times to kill it.
I prefer the MkVII since I am over level 30. The Super Mutant Overlord with the Tri-Beam laser is still murder for me, taking multiple hits while almost wasting me before I can lay him out on his back. So, you choose the weapon that is right for you. ;)

By the looks of it, this must be ready for release...

Guess its time to finish up the readme and clean up a few things.

I want to take this time to thank everyone who tested this AND gave feedback. I should have it ready tonight sometime and when its ready, I will make a RELz thread.
