Webcomics

Alright guys, I specifically asked that you not link to comics with inappropriate content or language. If a comic uses profanity linked to on the forums you shouldn't be linking to it (the rules are laxer for this when it pertains to a Bethesda Softworks published title, but these situations require a link redirect).

Since people are having a difficult time following this, and since the moderators can't check out every comic for inappropriate content, PLEASE STOP LINKING TO THE COMICS YOU ARE DISCUSSING

Apologies, didn't see your post.

I used to love Sluggy, my primary e-mail was even on sluggy.net. I started to dislike it around chapter 25 or so and a while later quit entirely . . . wow, that was nearly a decade ago!

I forgot about Krakow, I've seen Spinnerette but I haven't checked it out yet. Sometime I need to catch up on Charliehorse.

25, chapter 25...ah after the whole Punyverse arc. Yeah, that's kinda' when Sluggy taking a downturn. The arc was longer than it had any right to be, halted the current plot, only consisted of a fraction of the cast, and amounted to nothing as the titular Punyverse was destroyed and all the characters introduced in it died. [censored], that was a long time ago!

I distinctly remember the Aylee storyline being uninteresting and convoluted and at the end of the train wreck the doctor trying to explain it in a massive comic and I couldn't make heads or tails of it - that was the day I stopped following Sluggy.

I went back a few times to catch up and see if it was improving. I think I gave up on it entirely after one of the bunbun/Santa holiday storylines. A few years ago my sister-in-law gave us the collection of the early books (with full color Sundays!) and I loved going through it again. :) It's always a shame to give up on a comic you've been reading for a while.

Freakangels - just brilliant. Post apocalyptic (my cup of tea) and great characters.
Jesus Christ: in the Name of the Gun - just ridiculous. Jesus and Ernest Hemingway travel through time to fight the Nazis, before joining up with other famous figures to right history's wrongs.

Girls With Slingshots

Somehow I managed to miss listing this one. I read it, too. :)

I only follow one - many are inappropriate to say the least, however. With your own discretion:Oglaf

Wasn't sure I wanted to mention that one. :P

XKCD - Has it's ups and downs, probably because a lot of the nerdier jokes go over my head :P
Cyanide and Happiness - My personal favourite - the sicker the better for me
Little Ms. Critical (on the escapist) - Ups and downs again
VGCats - It's pretty good overall, but can take forever to be updated, I like the pokemon spin-off too
Saturday-Morning-Breakfast-Club - Pretty good
Questionable Content - Started off a bit meh, got better, pretty awful at the moment.

Having discussed this further with HD we have to ask you not to suggest any web comics that contain forum unsuitable material, specifically anything that has pormographic images or other similar inappropriate content. We understand that you can't check every single page of a web comic you recommend, that's OK and there won't be any problems, but you read them so you should be aware of what they are likely to contain.

Thanks for understanding.

Gunnerkrigg Court

This. I love Gunnerkrigg Court, it's the strangest and most unique webcomic I've read.

I also love Hark! A Vagrant. Because I love history

Most of my favorites are in stasis or dead at the moment:

Achewood
Perry Bible Fellowship
Overcompensating

The best of the active ones that I read would have to be:

Subnormality
Chainsawsuit
Hark! A Vagrant
Pictures for Sad Children
Riotfish's "Newspaper Comic Strip" is also quite funny at times.

I will admit to reading XKCD and Questionable Content, but I will also admit that they kind of svck most of the time. I might have to cut a break for XKCD since it seems to mostly vacillate between jokes I don't get or jokes I do get that are not funny. Maybe all of the ones sailing over my head are solid gold.

If you like a nice little story then Inverloch is a good one. You can find it on... no links ? Can I write the link without making it actually clickable ?

Anyway go to a site called "seraph-inn", you will find it to contain 4 links that look like books, click on the book called Inverloch, it′s a nice little story and I don′t think it has been mentioned yet.

I like Ctrl-alt-del, I've stopped actively reading it since I no longer have a permanent connection to the internet, my favorite entry in that series has to be this one: http://www.cad-comic.com/cad/20091012

If you go diving in the archives far enough there's even some comics about Morrowind concerning Silt Striders I believe? and there are some about Oblivion too.

Dominic Deegan- was my first which got me hooked :3
Blank It -is really interesting conceptually which is awesome
I'm happy to see a few Gunnerkrigg Court fans here! One of my absolute FAVORITES I lament having to wait for new material
Lackadaisy - doesn't updates too often but the artwork is AMAZING ( and adorable!) along with a pretty good story, same thing for Strays ( updates once a week)
AXE COP - completely ridiculous , it was written by a child and illustrated by his older brother, its fast paced, crazy, whimsy, and KICK BUTT
theres a few others but they've all been mentioned already ^.^

A few picture based things - not really comics but single panels posts-
A Softer World ( bit twisted at times, but awesome...have to scrollover for the ' punchlines')
and
Surviving the World - Daily Lessons in science, literature, love and life

XKCD has this weird 3D effect on all the comics today, pretty fun.

Wow, I wonder how they did that. Some of them are better than others, though.
