With FWE + MMM, wich do you prefer? (compatibility, gameplay, etc).

Do you mean Weapon Mods Kit? What is VMK then? I don't use RH_IronSights because in the comments section at nexus it shows that there is a bug that forbids supermutant masters from firing their weapons.

You might want to try Dynamic Crosshairs:

I prefer WMK because that means more variety and upgrading a favorite gun.

I find that ironsights are not as well implemented as other games because some are set up to almost completely obscure view.

I'm also gonna have to back WMK on this one, Iron Sights are not something I need in a game, FPS or otherwise, but being able to have cool things to do with weapons in game, that I am a fan of.

I can`t do without ironsights- addas a great deal of realism for me.

I`ve heard that Vegas now uses ironsights too. If it wasn`t for Steam, I`d have bought that by now.

I saw the gameplay videos of the ironsights in New Vegas, it looks pretty awesome. (Sadly I have not bought the game for the exact same reason)

For as cool as ironsights are I still go with WMK, it has many more benefits to gameplay and I can put a scope on most of my favorite weapons. Plus with FWE you get Shlangsters scope mod that lets you zoom in and out with the scope.

If I may endorse something I had a small hand in, there is also Zealotlees ACR which is a single weapon with swappable parts like WMK plus there is an ironsights mod made just it.

I installed IronSights. WMK sounds interesting but IronSights is that kind of mods you cant play without afther using for a while.

I hear people say this a lot, and I personally disagree, but that is because it is all personal preference really.

Why choose?

I used FO3Edit to merge them all, with the various merging projects around to help shoehorn them together.

The trick is that even an old version of a compatibility patch will help you understand how to merge the mods together, when you look at it. Just look at it in FO3Edit and make sure that the new version's settings are there and being used.

Note: I haven't noticed a problem yet, doesn't mean there is NOT a problem. In certain cases I had to override FWE's functionality, but in most cases it wasn't noticeable.

P.S. I realize these could be considered "Necro". I limited myself to page 5, and am just trying to breathe a little more life into this forum. It's scary sad quiet and not all of us have "moved on" from FO3. For perspective, I'm STILL a Dwarf Fortress player.

@Jeoshua: I figured this was an option, just never cared to really do it myself, and I think a lot of folks still find themselves uncomfortable making edits to things (or making their own patches) - though, I should suspect this has decreased a bit in the FO3 world since the folks here still have probably been around now for a bit and worked up the courage to get in there.

Personally, I still don't use IronSights as I see little need to have it or go through the effort of getting it patched into my LO, but doing so should probably have been mentioned sooner :)
