Yeah, i was gonna order a new one last week, but LGA1155 was pulled off the market till march/april. And got thinking about it, I own both a PS3, and a 360, so why spend $1700-2000 on a PC to play this game, when its the only one ill be planning on buying for PC.
Some developers are "sneaking" some Dx10 and Dx11 features into 2011 games. Dragon Age 2 will have that for the PC version, so that might be a good reason to get a somewhat newer, high end video card. There aren't going to be many games any time soon that demand CPUs any more powerful than those that were already available two years ago, unless and until a next generation of consoles is available. Just upgrade a two year old PC instead of getting a new one.
