Okay. Let me try and decipher what you said.

In the morning you picked him up in a way that showed he had a bloody hair around where his piss comes from. Then he was asleep until 5:00 pm and walked around pissing blood everywhere, falling over and stumbling around. After three hours of this you decided to take him to the vet?
Was that the first appointment you could make with the vet? I mean, ultimately you took him there so it wasn't a money issue.

If it was my cat and I could afford to take him to the vet, and he had those symptoms, I wouldn't wait three hours to take him to the vet. I must be missing something, because this sounds like pure negligence.

Give it a rest. The OP is obviously upset, he doesn't need you calling him negligent of a cat he clearly loved and making it worse.

Very sorry to hear about your loss, EF. Losing a pet is hard. I will keep you in my thoughts.

This is a little harshly said in a time where the OP is likely upset, however I gotta agree to an extent. Bleeding from anything that isn't a visible scratch generally warrants close observation followed by possible treatment...
Losing pets svcks though. Losing the two family dogs was horrible, as was losing the sheep and the pig and our birds. You never stop missing them :(
