Is there anything detailed about Riften? : The Elder Scrolls Series Discussion

Hi,

do you guys know anything detailed about Riften (Skyrim) except is is the capital of the Rift? I've found nearly nothing in the imperial libary about skyrim cities.

Some detailed info would be great.

if the library doesnt have it it probably doesnt exist, there are plenty of areas in nirn that are little more than names.
best i could find:

By early winter, they were in Riften, and near the Morrowind border, but the weather had grown severe and they were told no merchant caravans would set forth until mid-spring.

Barenziah stood atop the city walls and stared across the deep gorge that separated Riften from the snow-clad mountain wall of Morrowind beyond. "Berry," Straw said gently, "Mournhold's a long way off yet, nearly as far as we've come already, and the lands between are wild, full of wolves and bandits and orcs and still worse creatures. We'll have to wait for spring."

They settled into Rifton for the winter, taking a cheap room in the slums. Barenziah joined the Thieves' Guild, knowing there would be trouble if she were caught free-lancing.

Thanks for that info to ensure me that there is less or more nothing about (riften) in the lore...the text is from a morrowind book, just can't remember the name

as far as i remeber from "the real barenziah" it is a breton town, and there is a huge chasm on the right, near the morrowind border.
