Questions for a Fanfiction

Hey, y'all.

I'm writing a sort of unofficial-sequal story to Oblivion, but I have some questions I need cleared up first. I'd be quite gratefull if you loremasters would help.

Firstly, what do we know about Imperial funerary traditions? I can't find anything other than that people are buried in catacombs under chapels. Or, apparantly, in graves at Green Emperor Way. Or, apparently, in graveyards right outside county capitol cities.

Secondly, where do the members of the Elder Council come from? Are they elected, or appointed, or do they inherit their position from former councillers? How common is it for them to come from outside Cyrodiil?

Those living around the chapels would probably bury their dead in catacombs and if you look around smaller settlements there are a few tombstones probably for those who don't live conveniently close to the chapels.

I'd probably wager that half to three quarters of the council is made up of foreign voices, with the last chunk being all from the Imperial Province and most probably from White Gold itself. As for how they are determined, where they are from, etc: I dunno, make something up.

Oblivion should've answered this for us. But it didn't.
