Gender change? Class change? On existing character.

Exactly as the title says nothing more to it really. I know about Oblivion Face Exchange Lite which was handy to get a nice face for my woman char but I am looking at changing her into a man! :bolt:

I also made a post http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1096141-is-spellsword-a-good-class-rather-weak-at-level-9-please-help/ about the current state of my SpellSword class, she's not faring too well so far at level 9. Just not too great at staying alive/casting magic/or fighting and it is getting a little much with all the magic schools the default SpellSword incorporates. I don't know maybe I am just playing the class wrong, if you want to lend a hand.

I am really looking for something new though I think, on this existing character I really would rather not start over as I have accumulated quite a bit, even though I am only level 9.

So to sum it up!

Is there any way to change the gender and/or the class on an existing character/save-game?

Thanks
-J

The following console commands allow you to change pretty much everything about your character:

ShowRaceMenu
ShowClassMenu
ShowBirthsignMenu

The only problem is that the Race and Class ones will reset you to level one. To prevent this, make all the changes you want, then instead of clicking Done, open the console again. With the console open, press Escape and save your game, then reload it. This should change your character without resetting it.

Note that I've never actually done this myself, and might have missed a step, so don't replace your old save until you know everything's okay. :P If it doesn't work, you might have to click Done and do the console-save when it asks you if you're sure.

Type "sixchange" in the console and there you go, although you'll see that your man will not have a manly face :P that happened to my character when her face reverted to a male one after cured from vampirism
