I started this project in late 2009, but was unable to complete it. All it actually needs is a shop in game with the items in it, as all of the armors are fully complete with meshes and textures. There are no icons or ground objects, however. I helped create the famous Netch Adamantine armor, and fully created Lightrider Hall and Stalker Armor for Morrowind. Hopefully my history speaks for itself.
I had to get this out as a resource because I am about to do a total wipe and reinstall of Oblivion because Adash won't work with my current install and I didn't want the work to go to waste. These are complete suits of armor ready to be put into any mod.
Original readme:
Welcome to Lighterider Hall Armory. We fill your traveling and adventuring armor needs!
I have long been disappointed by the bulkiness of the default Oblivion(and Morrowind) armors, but I have always liked the look and feel of them for the most part. Robert's body armors address this issue to a point, but I wanted to go a step farther. Enter the Lightrider Armorers:
My goal with the armors I make is to slim down the overall appearance of the default armors in the game and make them a bit more "fantasy-ish". I am also dissapointed by the lack of full faced helms in the game for most armors so I use mostly user created helmets(with permissions and credit!).
Lightrider Chain-
I've always disliked the chain armor in Oblivion. It's just never felt like it "hangs" naturally but instead looks like it's poofed up like a balloon. I have completely redesigned the chain suit from the ground to the tip of the head to be more fit for adventurers. NOTE: The chain armor suit is a one piece suit just like the original dark brotherhood suit due to massive clipping errors if it's combined with any other pieces. This means that when you put it in the editor you must assign all body slots to it, meaning chest, arms, hands, legs and feet.
Lightrider Iron- Full helmed iron armor with the torso section slimmed down lightened up. Armor cleaned up, de-rusted, and iron purified to approach carbon steel in strength. Protection extended to fully cover lower arms. Tassets removed for prolonged travel on foot and through any dubious areas you may so choose to travel. Leather under-armor layer in all vulnerable spots. Pouch Belt added for any odds, ends, or spell components you may so choose to use.
Lightrider Steel- Full helmed steel armor. Lightened and slimmed down. Tassets removed in favor of a leather armor for less weight and greater maneuverability.Steel arm armor(vambraces, rerebraces, couters) removed and replaced with reinforced leather.
Lightrider Ebony- Two full helms and one open faced helm included. Armor de-rusted and cleaned(not quite default, but close lyobovnik!), slimmed down. Tassets and "butt plate" removed for prolonged sits in the saddle. Point toed boots swapped out for regular styled boots.
Lightrider Glass- Faceplate added to helm. Cuirass lightened significantly. All chain removed and replaced with Lightrider Leather. Cerimonial non-functioning pieces removed for lightening.
I originally made the armors above for personal use in my games, so they are all fully play-tested and tweaked. I use Deadly Reflexes and UA and have not seen any noticeable issues. I went to great lengths to ensure that there were little to no visible clipping issues with any of the armors.
These armors are free to use as you see fit but please make sure to include all of the credits in the readme to the original makers of the pieces I have used.
