No love for Soldier class? : Othor Games

Im seeing way too many people getting into Ops, Medic, or Engineer but I rarely have seen anything closely related to soldier what gives? -_-

Later in the few weeks after release, it will grow. Now is the decision of the preferred class. Things change with actual gameplay.

Maybe people are getting it confused with the basic grunts of COD and the like, and avoiding it like the plague?

It looks like a good class, and I'll probably put some points into it, but it's Medic for me.

my first character "get used to the game" will be a soldier so at least there 1 soldier

but i think people will swap at comand posts. dont think its gonna be a bad company 2 effect

Read those posts. Every class will HAVE be played, as the classes have their own abilities and actions that no other class can do.

I myself plan to play a soldier, I enjoy giving out free ammo to those at the front, defending and attacking main objectives, as well as defending those doing the objectives.

I don't have 3 million points in the soldier class in Bad Company 2 for nothing.

Yes.... get comfortable with your useless mini gun, then, in the blink of an eye, out of nowhere comes... flashbang, grenade, molly followed by a clip of SMG ammo. Dropped.

I would play the Frontlines(Soldier) but I prefer area denial (Engineer). Nothing beats annoying the crap out of your enemies by fighting side by side with your sentry, holding off enemies until you can get reinforcements, or setting up a sentry at high points and flanking unsuspecting bad guys while they're defending themselves against your sentry as you blast their faces with a shotty! :devil:

I honestly didn't know they weren't getting love..... I figured most people were going to make a soldier for their first character.. I can also how it may feel to like other shooters but I disagree.
Go Soldier for your first if you like it.. I'll eventually probably make at least 1 of every class.

I think there will be plenty of soldiers. It just I think the type that will gravitate to soldiers don't stalk forums or post much at all.
