Helmet Problems

Alternatively, I suppose I could move to the BSA version... but man, I really am hesitant to do so. This is the first (relatively) stable FCOM build I've made, and I enjoy playing it so much. I hate to risk messing it up...

No worries on that account... the bsa version hasn't been released yet. (I was merely checking to confirm for Showler that the meshes for those particular helmets were okay inside it).

Ah, very good. Thank you for the clarification. I have been trying to keep an eye on the BSA-ification of the remaining FCOM components (I guess that's the best way to put it?), but between real life and actually playing the game I've lost track. I'll try to pay closer attention to the relevant threads.

Thanks again,

Thanks a bunch Showler, I can confirm that it worked as well. Plumed helmets are looking way better although I have yet to find the dread armor or elite blades stuff. I still have a bad mesh for the tarnished helm I mentioned earlier, ID is 0400D853.

If it's not too much trouble, could you fix that as well? Thanks again for your help!

These are just pulled straight from the OOO test BSA, so no work has been done on them yet.

Thanks again, showler. This may well be one of the other ones I thought I had come across in the game... maybe the other one? Hard to say... I wish I had been keeping notes. Nevertheless, I'll add it later tonight.

If I should happen to run across this again, what would be the best thing to do? Post in the OOO thread? I would have done that originally, but I really didn't think OOO was the cause of my problem. Or would it be better to just revive this thread? The only real advantage I see to that is this thread may be a little more easily discovered by search engines since "helmet problems" is the name of the thing. I know that when I was searching for answers, I didn't hit on anything in the OOO thread dealing with this... not in this site's search nor in Google.

I'd appreciate your opinion on that,

So far, the problems seem to have been a result of a bad pyffing job at some point in the past. They're all fine in the current BSA.

However, reporting them in the OOO thread is a good idea just so it can be confirmed. Otherwise, the upcoming release of the BSA edition of OOO will solve any problems anyone else has encountered. That BSA will be carefully Pyffied and carefully checked before release, so as to avoid any issues like these.

OK, thanks for the guidance. I'll keep that in mind. And thanks again for these files!
