Fighting Multiple Dragons?

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 12:09 am

I just got hold of the latest OXM, and was just reading through the article. Nothing new of course, but I was thinking about how they said that dragon encounters were unscripted, would there be a chance that you'd face multiple dragons at once?

Either a second joins the fray while you're battling the a dragon, or you encounter 2 or more in the wild.

also would dragons fight each other? or is there lore stating that they're all 'on the same side'?

could a dragonborn even handle 2 dragons at once!?!?

thoughts?

I would love to see two dragons fly down and try to take me on, it would be so challenging.

I'm not sure about them fighting each other, I know you will be able to summon a dragon to fight by your side.

Dovahkiin & Dragon Vs Dragon & Dragon << This would be awesome.

When they said 'unscripted' i think that they were talking about the actual fights, I suspect that they dragons will only apear as you get to certain stages in the MQ. (similar to Oblivion Gates)

If more than one was present on the map at the same time I think that their NPC schedules and wandering tracks would limit their movement so they stay in the same part of the map as they are supposed to.

Although I guess if you started a fight with one and then ran to another they would be the chance to fight multiple dragons at the same time. That would be fun, shortlived fun......but fun all the same.

Says in the OXM mag
according to Howard, the team has spent a long time ensuring these huge lizards have complete run of the world they are creating
So I guess they could be any time anywhere any number!

Todd has already stated that you can see dragons at any point in the game, and he said in the podcast that when hes bored he will put a command in and have 3 or more dragons appear.

The picture I referenced earlier on page 43 has a picture of the guy in the horned helm with 3 dragons circling above!

frankly I hope not...kinda feel like the epicness of a dragon kinda dwindles if your character can face more then one and survive.

its not an actual screenshot but the same one with the dragon circling the nord warrior but the magazine just photo shopped it to show 3 of the same dragon (the copied and resized the dragon in the screen)
