Was TR's Hammerfell mod ever completed?

Was this ever finished? I can't seem to find a release thread and the links in that old post are no longer working.

From what I've understood The Tamriel Rebuilt Hammerfell project was cancelled as a TR Project, and instead turned into a separate project (the site ulrim mentioned) that other people are/were working on. I have no idea if that project is still going.

The Tamriel Rebuilt team is only working on the rest of the Morrowind province for Morrowind now.

Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about this stuff, I'm not entirely sure.

The mod is not yet finished, but I certainly don't plan on dropping it :) In fact, i'm planning a release for sometime this summer.

Povuholo is correct in that the project split off from TR. The site Ulrim mention is NOT ours - it was for broad's hammerfell mod, which seems to be dead (nothing posted by broad since last year). OUR website is located http://hammerfell.daryam.com/, and our forums are http://z10.invisionfree.com/Hammerfell/index.php?. you can find more information and screenshots at our website. Trollf also linked our thread, where you are more than welcome to post any further questions :)

hope that clears it up.

Thank you for the replies, and especially thank you Ms. Lady Nerevar. I was really hoping this one didn't get cancelled as it got me all hyped up when I was reading about it.

No broad last posted in march but he is still trying to work on it(he doesn't have enough spare time to mod at the moment)and it is almost done so we will see a release soon.

You know, lonewolf_kai, once you've finished working on Stealth Wars, you could stop by and lend a hand, if you so desire. ;)

Thanks, too, for I wanted to know about this mod for a while.

Will check the forums and sites *linky*

That's great, since I would be interested to know if there's going to be a music mod release. One of the mods broad did but never released, I guess he's musician.

(Edit:)

So, apparently, there is going to be two versions of Hammerfell?

counting the already released "hammerfell" (quotations due to it sharing nothing with the province but the name and general geographic area), as well as onra's heightmap and ali's elinhir based on it, thats at least 4 hammerfell projects :P our hammerfell should be compatible with the others, as it is in a separate worldspace. however, broad's, onra's, and the other one are mutually exclusive.

Thanks! I think it's easier to keep this discussion in your thread now. :)

I new TR had dropped it, but I didn't realise it would be ready for release so soon. I'm looking forward to this now.

That and TR Map 3 of course.

it wont be a TR style release, since we're no longer part of TR. i want to give people something to play to keep them interested in what we're doing, but theres still plenty of work to be done.

and yea, i'm really looking forward to Sacred East. its going to be epic

But one cannot play both yours and Broad's mods together, right? I mean, there would be 2 cities of Rihad (different from each other) and so on!...

Release this summer? When it gets released, how much of the Hammerfell region will be done? And what's the difference between this mod and this one? http://hammerfellmod.ning.com/

Right now, i'm not sure how much will be in the release. It centers around Goldmoor and the Helkori, hence "Southern Grasslands," but how complete those regions will be depends on how much time I have and how fast the rest of the team works. Goldmoor exteriors will definitely be complete, and I hope to merge in all of Rihad's MC quarter and perhaps some Harbor interiors as well. There are also several non-town interiors present. the Helkori will probably be only procedurally generated (no detailing work, no villages). other than that, its all up in the air. lower class interiors for both cities may make it as well, or they may not. I aim to include dialog, but i can't say how complex it will be. quests are unlikely, though a few basic ones may end up making it in (we'll see if i have any willing questers after i get the new esm out). i'll announce full details when I have them :)

there are many, many differences between our mod and broad's. here are a few:
-his is in the same worldspace as cyrodiil, ours is in a different one.
-he is making his alone (as far as i know), we are a team of modders.
-our mod has a higher percentage of unique meshes (hence its taken so long to release :P)
-i would say ours is more lore correct, but someone will doubtlessly fight me on that one.
-broad makes gameplay changes, i.e. children, while we only add content.
-concept of what hammerfell looks like is, obviously, different.

as i've said, they should theoretically be compatible. or, if you don't want two hammerfells, you can decide which one you prefer.

[edit]http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/1333/mapcopys.jpg is a map of current Hammerfell content. the Corten Mountains are fully hand-made, and I am not sure if they will make it into the release. Note that the border doesn't cover all of that area, http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/?p=forum/showmap&map=9 is a detailed map of the cells affected by it.

Oh I'd love to get my hands in that, but I've already got two projects I'll be working on after Stealth Wars, one of which will be a fairly big quest/dungeon crawl mod. I might could place the location in Hammerfell though since I will be looking at a place to put it. I'll need a castle-sized+ area location though. After that, and probably before the two projects, I'll be helping correct some problems with the recently released http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=32134 from a fellow modder if he isn't able to fix the problem before I finish SW.
