nGCD Question

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 5:13 pm

I loved GCD in Morrowind, it was one of my must-have mods. I just had a question about how luck works. I'm not sure how exactly it was calculated, but when you raised skills and/or attributes, your luck would increase as well. When I was reading the nGCD readme, it said that all races had the same luck stat, and if I'm not mistaken I believe it said that you couldn't raise your luck. Is this true? Because while I don't think that any particular skill should raise your luck, if you raised enough skills that your luck would be increased as well. If someone could please enlighten me on this small matter, I would appreciate, and like the topic says, this thread can be closed.

Thanks in advance,
Dan

If I remember the .ini file correctly, you can change luck settings there. Have a look in it, it should be in a _tejon folder in your Data folder.

Actually, there is a luck stats option. If you don't choose Luck as a class, you need to change at least to setting in nGCD's INI. One is luckAlwaysIncreases or something like that. All three relevant settings are in the same section, and the section is near the beginning of the nGCD.ini. Make sure that the bottom two of the three are set to 1, and then you get an average luck calculation instead of luck sitting at whatever starting value you have set.

The same type of question cropped up yesterday http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1064903
Simply, set up the ini to suit.
You can configure it to do the most surprising things.

Shame on me for not using the search feature. Thanks guys. I'll PM a moderator to close this thread now.

You can probably find the relevant details in tejon's current thread or by backtracking the links.

Aww man, I just reported this for closing but I have one more question. Hopefully this'll get answered before it gets closed. Does nGCD offer an uncap feature, and if not, is it compatible with mods that DO remove said caps on skills and attributes?
